What is it?

This one-day course is practical, and will take you through first principles around scheduling/programming.

It is an excellent pre-requisite to tool training, e.g. Primavera, MS Project, etc.

Organisations can use this course to communicate and promote good scheduling practices within their people.

This course is ideal for emerging project managers, analysts and practitioners, who now deal with schedules, or a great refresher for more experienced project practitioners.

This course attracts 7 PDUs for those certified through PMI.

What does the course include?

This one-day course covers foundation concepts in scheduling, and a broad introduction to projects and project management. It is excellent in preparing you to understand the underlying concepts needed to meaningfully learn to use specific scheduling tools.

In the workshop, Scheduling Concepts are applied to a scenario, on which you will: 

   Complete a top-down estimate 
   Create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and define activities 
   • Apply dependencies and bottom-up estimates 
   • Calculate critical path 
   • Apply problem solving techniques 
   • Discuss concepts in monitoring and controlling schedules
