DIPLOMA OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
What is it?
The Diploma of Project Management is a nationally recognised qualification, under the Australian Quality Training Framework. While we no longer offer this qualification, we have left some general information here for your reference.
Who is it for?
This qualification is for Project Managers, or for people undertaking major sub-projects or streams, within larger projects. Even if your role is not Project Manager, your work may be managing projects, and this course is for you.
How does it work?
The Diploma of Project management may be undertaken by:
- Distance Study with support
- Workshop followed by completion of assessment activities.
Either way, you can start at any time and are well supported both academically and administratively.
Course workshops may be customised to your organisations Project Management Methodology, OR, you may adapt The Arthur Group’s generic processes and templates to your context.
Course assessment includes application of learned principles, skills and tools to real projects the participant manages.

The topics include the following, through the life of a project.
- Manage project scope
- Manage project time
- Manage project quality
- Manage project costs
- Manage project human resources
- Manage project information and communications
- Manage project risk
- Manage project integration
- Manage project procurement
- Manage project stakeholder engagement
For your assessment, you will be asked how you manage these key areas through the life cycle of projects – planning, managing and closing/reviewing.
